Taiwan Trip 2008 Day 3

A 180 degree change in weather, gloomy and cold as compared to the day before when we got burnt climbing yang ming shan. We were too tired to go sight-seeing and switched the days to go shopping instead. Good thing too, because the weather was too cloudy to take good pictures. Near the Taipei 101!

Inside Eslite

Near the Taipei 101

New York New York

Outside Taipei 101, and Lynda trying to shield Yi Ting from the cold :P

At the entrance to the lifts leading up the 89th floor

World's Fastest Passenger Lift at 1010m/min

View from the top, very cloudy! couldn't get good shots.

This is the damper baby that weighs 660 tons..!

Lynda making a call from the top

Outside in the open space, wow too coldddd...

Trying to get shelter from the wind

The guard who has to stand there all day in a trench coat

The remaining top floors which are not open to the public

my goodness... -3 degree celsius?

More pictures with the damper babies

The lift on the way down, the only clear pic I had of the lift due to my PD hands (!)

Taking the free shuttle bus to the Taipei City Hall Station

At Ding Tai Fung, we had 3 'long's of xiao long baos

1 bowl of pork chop la mian, this was nice!

1 bowl of beef noodles,

Fried rice

Chicken Soup, how come the colour is so dull with my camera!

After the Ding Tai Fung meal, we spent a fortune at Watsons and the cashier only told us after this special offer going on after 4pm just after I paid up at 3.30pm plus...haiyo...never mind, moving on next to Houshanpi Station. Haha this is such a hilarious picture and his phone is so cartoony.

At Wufenpu, lots of clothes here, priced quite alright and the clothes are quite nice if you pick carefully

Next onto Raohe Night Market

We didn't eat this, but tried the pepper bun next to it. Wonder why I didn't have their picture? The pepper bun stall had a long queue but wasn't as nice as I expected, reminded me of the da rou bao in school.

Mango shaved ice, we encountered a stall with very nice guavas before we ate this

A can of beer for Yi Ting, because we were too tired to go to Luxy in the end. haha!

Our personal hotel hot bath for tired legs..wahaha
